What is Pallas Pepper?
Pallas Pepper is an astrology blog that covers current events, people, and politics.
Just like spicy food, Pallas Pepper is not for everyone. While some people prefer to avoid political discussions, others enjoy it very much.
This newsletter, Pallas Pepper, is the place for politically minded people to read about current events through the lens of mundane and interpersonal astrology.
Who is Pallas Pepper?
Pallas Pepper is the planetary persona of a lifelong astrologer with libertarian leanings.
Pallas Pepper strives to remain neutral, only taking the side of We the People.
Pallas Pepper is written by a human. So, don’t be peeved if she takes an interest in political personalities that ping her personal astrological placements positively.
Why is it called Pallas Pepper?
This newsletter is named in honor of Pallas Athene, the Greek goddess of wisdom, politics, weaving, and war.
Pallas was born of Zeus, the ruler and protector of gods and men, and Métis, the goddess of good counsel. Pallas was born in full armor, ready for battle.
In astrology, the asteroid Pallas Athene conveys strong powers of pattern recognition, combining intuition with intellect. Pallas provides creative intelligence and the ability to think for oneself.
In mythology, Pallas was known to offer guidance and strategic advice in difficult situations, including the construction of the Trojan horse. She was also a skilled healer. Pallas is the third-largest asteroid in the asteroid belt.
In Greek mythology, Pallas was best friends with Goddess Athena.
In one of their childhood war games, Athena accidentally struck and killed her best friend Pallas with an arrow. Athena took on the name Pallas in honor of her friend, becoming Pallas Athene.
In the same respect, this corner of the internet is named in honor of Pallas. I assume many slings and arrows will be sent my way due to the nature of politics. May the spirit of friendship prevail.
The last name, Pepper, was chosen as to describe the peppy and spicy personality behind the writings here.
